Giant Double Chocolate Chip Cookie.
September 6, 2011 by Katie
My husband loves peanut butter cookies. But, I’m a chocolate chip cookie girl all the way.
I had a cookbook with a giant cookie recipe that I loved. Unfortunately, moving nearly 10 times in 10 years means that I have no idea where that cookbook is. So, I was super excited to try this recipe.
AND it’s all in one bowl. Love that–reminds me of our one-bowl brownies!

Giant Double Chocolate Chip Cookie (adapted from Mel’s Kitchen Cafe)
Ingredients
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
1/2 cup margarine, melted and cooled
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup white chocolate chips
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Cream sugars an butter. Add egg and vanilla. Mix with a wooden spoon and add the dry ingredients. Mix well and add chocolate chips.
Grease a cookie sheet (or line with foil), press the cookie into a circle. I make about an 8 inch cookie. It spreads to about 10 inches.
Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
Allow it to cool completely and it’ll lift off the pan with a spatula, or by using the tin foil (if you’ve lined the pan with tin foil).
This would be out-of-this-world with ice cream!

I love that there are both white chocolate chips and milk chocolate chips in this. You are a girl after my own heart <3
