Last official cheat day of week 4 on the 4-Hour Body is today — woot! Yesterday I wanted was a veggie burger & chips which are not allowed…not to worry, I got creative with another faux meal! I’ve said it before & I’ll say it again, where there’s a will there’s a way. All you have to do is get creative with fresh ingredients & you can satisfy almost every craving — I love that about making things from scratch. This meal was satisfying & nutritious, can’t go wrong with that.
Portabello Burger
1 Large Portabello Mushroom
1 TBS Olive Oil
1/4 TSP Garlic Powder
1/4 TSP Cumin
1/4 TSP Oregano
1/4 TSP Lemon Pepper
Pinch of Paprika (optional, I just like a little heat)
Pinch of Salt
Combine all ingredients in a bowl & coat the portabello mushroom cap with the mixture. On a skillet, sautee the burger over high heat for 3-4 minutes on each side to give it a nice sear. Done!
Zucchini Chips
1 Small Zucchini, thinly sliced
1/2 TBS Olive Oil
Garlic Powder, to taste
Salt & Pepper, to taste
Preheat the oven to 475 degrees. On a cookie sheet, drizzle the olive oil on the zucchini slices; add the garlic powder, salt & pepper & coat. Place zucchini chips in the oven for 5 minutes, then flip & bake for an additional 5 minutes (or until golden brown/crispy).
I served my burger with hummus, lettuce, tomato, onion slices, avocado & a skirt of lime juice — so good! Burger & chips have never been better for you. Buen provecho!
PS. I’m off to enjoy my cheat day. Saturdays are now even a little sweeter…literally

It was delicious! Since it’s hard for me to make other burgers right now (no bread crumbs on the 4HB) portabellos are a great option!
