Pumpkin Cinnamon Rolls – Fail

October 4, 2012 by Katie

My plan for today was to post a recipe for the Pumpkin Cinnamon Rolls I made this weekend – but they were kind of a flop. I was hoping for a real pumpkin flavor – and unfortunately, these fell short.

But, I’m definitely planning round 2 – here are the recipes I’m going to use to try for inspiration!

Cake Duchess – Pumpkin Cinnamon Rolls

My Baking Addiction – Pumpkin Cinnamon Rolls with Maple Cream Cheese Frosting

Chef in Training - Pumpkin Cinnamon Rolls

Six Sisters Stuff – Pumpkin Cinnamon Rolls

Taste of Home – Pumpkin Cinnamon Rolls

The recipe I used didn’t call for cream cheese frosting – I think that would have helped. I’ll also be extra generous on the pumpkin pie filling next round.

What are you loving for fall? Any favorite recipes?

  1. I’ve found that the taste people most associate with pumpkin is typically pumpkin spice. Do you think if you added more pumpkin spice to your recipe, it might be better?
