Just Add Mint.

As mentioned, eversince I got back from Israel I’ve been a little under the weather. The last day in Jerusalem my throat began to hurt & it’s been downhill from there. Full blown out sore throat, congestion, fever — eek!¬†

I’m going to be honest: I didn’t work out at all while away. I had grand plans of coming home, running, exercising, getting back into a routine — the¬†illness has prevented it. Today I decided to stock myself up on all things “Operation Get Healthy” & bought some mint.

Israelis use mint not only tea but also in lemonade; both cold & hot drinks get a generous mint bunch in the middle. Not only does the mint add great taste, it’s also very good for you. Mint can help you with digestion, nausea, breakouts & congestion, among many other things. Since I’m super congested I created this concoction & immediately felt some relief.


1 Darjeeling Tea Bag

Sprig of Mint

1 TBS Agave Nectar

Slice of lemon (optional)

Yum. I feel better aleady! Next time you have tea or lemonade just add mint, you’ll love it.
