A few weeks ago, Julie had the idea of putting a Blogger Boot Camp together & inviting anyone in the Central Florida area — I couldn’t pass the opportunity up! Her friend Ben recently opened Saperia Fitness, a state of the art gym in south Orlando; he & Dave were kind enough to train us this morning. Julie, Meghann, Katy, Erica, Melissa, Amanda, Ashley, Merri & I met up at Saperia ready to work.

And work we did. We began with a quick warm up of biking, skipping & jumping. Afterwards, Ben & Dave walked us through 11 different stations which we repeated three times. They meant business.
The exercises had a little bit of everything: cardio, weights, resistance, core — you name it, we got it. I loved all the techno music they played while we were in each station. I don’t know about you, but being a Miami girl I love me some techno while I work out, keeps me going. What I also love? The cable chest press, made me feel strong! Planks & I are still enemies but someday I hope to let them know who’s boss.
After the boot camp we stuck around to chat, but not before Meghann conquered the coolest treadmill I’ve ever seen. This self propelled treadmill is curved at the bottom; it flies! Meghann, being the superstar runner that she is, booked it to 10 all on her own; she was pretty excited.
By the time I got home I was hungry but wasn’t craving anything big; the answer was a smoothie. This one was born out of the fruits I had in the kitchen & it’s a winner, perfect post workout drink.
Boot Camp Smoothie
1 Banana, diced
6 Strawberries, diced
1 Granny Smith Apple, diced
1 Cup Orange Juice
1 Cup Ice
1 TBS Agave Nectar (optional)
Blend all ingredients until fully combined & enjoy. A little protein powder or granola would be great in this if you want heartier. This smoothie hit the spot for me! Buen provecho.
