Taste of the Nation, Orlando, FL.

August 7, 2011 by Carolina

As a foodie, I’m always on the look out for great food events. When I heard Taste of the Nation was happening in Orlando I was excited, not only for the food but also for its great cause. I was even more stoked when I won Katy Widrick’s giveaway for a free ticket — thanks Katy!

Taste of the Nation is a food event that happens all over the US & Canada featuring the best local restaurants & alcohol vendors. All ticket sales go 100% towards anti-hunger organizations (like Coalition for the Homeless & Second Harvest Food Bank) — how cool is that? A great evening of food for a great cause, can’t beat that.

With an impressive list of vendors, Taste of the Nation did not disappoint. Though the vegetarian options were slim, chefs were more than accomodating when I asked for the sides, often giving me larger portions. I got try try some delicious bites; I’ll let the food speak for itself.

Lets not forget about theĀ drinks — the were flowing! Wine, beer, cocktails, we had our pick of a huge selection & I partook in the offerings. No drink left behind.

In all, Taste of the Nation was a great event, one every foodie should check out. Find the event in your city, grab your hubby, boyfriend or best friend (I went with the latter, one of my best friends Vivian, visiting from NYC — Hi Viv) & get ready to have a great time.
