Ultimate Vegetarians Pantry.
June 4, 2012 by Katie
My husband and I just moved to Boston. We got into our new apartment late last week. We got our new mattress today and the rest of furniture arrives tonight. It’ll be nice to feel settled!
This weekend, we went on a massive shopping trip.
We don’t have a car, so we got a Zipcar this weekend and did a big Ikea, Target and grocery run to stock the pantry and pick up odds and ends we needed for around the house.
I spent time on Friday making a master list for the grocery run. Since we don’t have a car, I figured it’d be good to fully stock the pantry with non-perishable items to make our weekly grocery trips a little easier.
Since we literally started from scratch, it wasn’t a cheap trip–but it’s great to have a full fridge! I’ll be able to cook again (when our pots and pans arrive!).
(This isn’t a picture of our pantry, it’s not nearly organized enough to share–but, it’s definitely exciting to have a stocked pantry!)
Here’s my list (definitely not exhaustive–but a place to start):

I always hate making that first grocery trip after moving just because I feel like I’m starting from scratch and need to buy every little thing. I definitely take advantage of having some staples around that allow me whip something up. Good luck getting settled! I hear Boston is awesome!
