The Sentient Bean: Savannah, GA.
March 5, 2012 by CarolinaThis weekend I went to the charming town of Savannah — it’s so quaint! When I asked you guys on Twitter where I should go one of you recommended The Sentient Bean, Savannah’s only fully vegetarian restaurant. I’m always excited to check out full vegetarian restaurants so The Sentient Bean was my first stop & it did not disappoint!
The location of The Sentient Bean is ideal, right across Forsyth Park, made famous by the book & film Midnight in the Garden of Good & Evil. Check out this park — it’s beautiful!
But I digress, back to The Sentient Bean. The atmosphere at The Bean is awesome, a huge open space full of eclectic chairs, couches, art…my kind of place! It’s a coffee shop that serves food so they have a ton of coffee drinks. They also have an array of sandwiches, salads, wraps, and pastas, both vegetarian and vegan. I decided to try their stuffed potato which came stuffed with tomato, spinach, red onion & feta, served with a side salad.
The potato was huge, the ingredients were fresh & it was very filling! My friend ordered the quiche which was the special of the day.
I had a bite of the quiche & it had layers of tomato, potato & cheddar cheese — delicious. Both of us were really happy with our lunch, it hit the spot. We loved going into The Sentient Bean knowing we didn’t have to worry about what to order, it’s all vegetarian, all the time. Win!
If you’re ever in Savannah looking for a great cafe with delicious vegetarian fare check out The Sentient Bean. After you eat at The Bean take a stroll through beautiful Forsyth Park & enjoy the beautiful city of Savannah!
What’s your favorite fully vegetarian restaurant?

If you’re ever looking for suggestions again, I recommend the Gryphon tea room. I had the yummiest sandwich ever there after my marathon last November (although it wasn’t vegetarian). I really love that place. Savannah is so cool!
