Hiking the Capes.

A lot of times when someone thinks of working out they think of it as a drag — hours stuck on a treadmill at a packed gym, maybe waiting for weight machines. The thing about exercise is that it doesn’t always have to be that way, there are awesome ways to work up a sweat without ever setting foot in a gym. From specialized classes to running to dancing, where there is a will there is a way. Same goes for when you’re on vacation. Rather than head down to the hotel gym consider researching active ways to explore the city you’re visiting…

If you’re ever in Cape Town a great way to get an awesome workout is to hike the Cape of Good Hope &  Cape Point. The hike from Cape of Good Hope to Cape Point & back is about three hours of stunning views, rock climbling, wildlife spotting & gorgeous beaches. So far this has been my favorite experience here in Cape Town; highly recommend it! Katie, our friend Melyssa & loved every second of the hike, especially our break at Dias Beach — straight out of a movie.
