Next week marks the beginning of Global Mala, a worldwide yoga movement. A few years ago Shiva Rae started this movement meaning worldwide circle, asking studios around the globe to open their doors & welcome in new people into yoga practice for free in an effort to spread the message of peace. I heard about the movement last year & wasn’t able to participate but this year I fully intend to take advantage of a very special offer in town at College Park Yoga (CPY).
Next week CPY will be offering free yoga classes all week so if you’re in Orlando & have been looking for affordable yoga, this is a perfect opportunity! Below is the schedule for free yoga classes at College Park Yoga next week. You can either just show up or register online & give a donation to Stretch the Cure. That’s free yoga & supporting a good cause, win, win!
- Monday 9/24 at 8:15pm
- Tuesday 9/25 at 4:30pm
- Wednesday 9/26 at 8:15pm
- Thursday 9/27 at 4:30pm
- Friday 9/28 at 6:30pm
- Sunday9/30 at 4:30pm
On Sunday 9/30 there will be a worldwide practice & meditation for world peace & College Park Yoga is honoring the movement by offering meditation during the 9/30 class. I love seeing studios embrace worldwide movements in an effort to not only bring the joys of yoga to everyone, but to spread yoga’s core message of peace & unity.
Not in Orlando? No problem — check out the Yoga Health Foundation site to find events near you. Type in your location & check out if there are any studios participating near you.
September is National Yoga Month so make sure you utilize the last week of the month to the fullest by visiting your mat. Join me next week in practicing yoga & perhaps dedicate your practices to peace: yours, mine, everyone’s. Namaste!
