Back on the Saddle.

How did everyone’s Thanksgiving go? Did you eat delicious food? I sure did. If you’re anything like me today you woke up feeling sluggish from all the over indulging — too much food, not enough activity. The good thing about Mondays is that you get to start fresh and guess what? It’s been three weeks and guess what? I can run again. I can crossfit again. Just in time to work out the pumpkin pies, cupcakes & sweet potatoes I ate for the holiday. Woot!

This will be my first week back on the fitness saddle & boy am I glad — I’ve missed working out & having full function of my knee. I know this is going to sound ridiculous but being inactive is hard! When you’re used to working out at least 4 times a week it’s hard to fill the fitness void when you’re not allowed/can’t work out. Lucky for me the wait is over & this week promises to be a good one for the fitness books. Here’s what I’ve got planned.

Today: Crossfit

Wednesday: Hot Flow Yoga

Friday: Run

Sunday: Hatha Yoga

Going to start with four days & see how I feel. I may run before Friday if school permits (semester’s coming to a close, lots of homework). Here’s to a new week, recharged energy & a go get ‘em attitude.

What are you doing this week as far as workouts go? Let’s hear them!

  1. Oof, we are in the SAME boat. My eating patterns were so off this past week that I’ve been suffering from a lack of appetite. :( No bueno

    • Today I didn’t crave or want food (which is totally unlike me), I think it has to do with overeating this past week. It’s crazy how our bodies work.

  2. Yay for running again! Nothing makes me want to work out like being told I can’t. Don’t go too hard, but you already know that ;)

Enjoy your workouts. I’ll be elliptical-ing and strength training tomorrow.

  3. all I want to do this week is sweat and eat veggies. Need balance ASAP!

    are you coming on Wednesday?

  4. I’m glad you’re knee is feeling better!

It feels good to be back on a schedule after a brief break. I sit so much for work and my long commute that not working out make me go a little mental.

  5. Back in the saddle indeed!! Can’t wait to get out and run in this brisk weather!
