Fit Peas: Vixen.
January 9, 2011 by CarolinaVixen: A female fox. I sure did feel foxy in Vixen Fitness’s Intro to Pole class! Meghann from Meals and Miles & I met up for lunch at tasty Press 101 before heading to the class. We weren’t sure what to expect.
Both of us participated in this week’s Groupon for 4 classes at Vixen at a great rate; this was the first class on deck. As soon as we walked in we could see the studio is gorgeous! They have a pole room (featured above), a lounge…
A bar area…
And additional rooms for spinning, zumba, piyo & other fun classes.
Class got started & the instructor immediately made us feel comfortable. With great music to lead us we learned the basics of pole dancing, from walking to spinning & twirling, we got a great taste of several pole tricks. The environment was welcoming, the students were excited & the pole dancing was a work out — talk about using your upper body! I’m sure my arms will be sore tomorrow but it was worth it. We had a blast at Vixen.
Their official grand opening event is this coming Friday, January 14th — come (I’ll be there)! They’ll have class demonstrations, free sample & wine….yes please!
If you’re looking for a different work out that’s a lot of fun & makes you feel sexy head over to Vixen. Peas heart Vixen & you will too!

I’m not going to lie Suzanne, I was a little scared before going. As soon as I got there though & saw I wasn’t the only one I felt fine & had a lot of fun trying something new. You should give it a go, I’m sore this morning — it’s a great workout!
There were some girls who could climb all the way up the pole, can you believe it? Crazy!

I was scared at first too. After I went in and did my first class, I got to see that everyone is very nice and most were feeling the same way I was. I ended up having so much fun, I’d stay for three classes at a time! I lost 35 pounds in about three months and was having the time of my life! This isn’t just a workout, it feels more like a night out with the girls!

That’s so great! Exercise that doesn’t feel like exercise is the best!
