2011 has been a year of focus: work, school & especially fitness. This was the year I decided to fully commit to running instead of doing a little bit of every workout out there. Prior to training for the marathon I used to spend my time going to fitness class because I love them; I love working out with a group of people. One of the workouts I did was Zumba. After months of not going to a Zumba class this weekend I took my Latin moves to the dance floor & joined the party — boy have I missed it!
What I love about Zumba is that it’s like tricking your body into exercising. With awesome music & beats in the background you learn dances that make you sweat & have a whole body workout; it’s a blast! You don’t need any dance experience, all you need are tennis shoes & a class, the rest takes care of itself. The moves are simple to pick up, the teachers are full of energy & the people that go to class are so much fun. Everyone’s having a good time learning how to dance while exercising, it really is a big party.
